Manage Projects

A project is something you are working on and can be anything from reading a book to building a new product.

There are four aspects of managing projects we will cover here:

  • Creating a new or edit an existing project
  • Making changes to a project
  • Archiving and restoring a project
  • Tracking time for a project
  • Viewing data for a project

Creating a new or edit an existing project

You can create a new project by pressing the add project button. You can also make changes to existing projects by clicking their label.

Click the name to edit and add to create a new project.

Make changes to a project

After you have created a new project, or selected an existing one, Busy will redirect you to the project page.

Here, you can make changes to the following:

  • Project name
  • Project color; Determines the entry color presented on the timeline.
  • Billable; Determines whether it is possible to track billable hours for the project or not.
  • Members; Determines what people should have access to log time for this project
  • Tags;  Determines what tags should be available for the project.

Archiving and restoring a project

Archive a project by pressing the action button on the project page and selecting «Archive.»

After archiving an «Archived» tag is visible. All archived projects will still be available in the reports, but unavailable for logging more time on them. To restore a project, press the action button again and select «Restore.»

Tracking time for a project

Log time for a project on the by selecting your project in the dropdown after creating an entry. See our guide for using the timeline.

Viewing data for a project

After connecting your project to an entry on the timeline, your data will be available in the reports. Here you can filter based on what project you want to see, select a time interval and more. See our guide for using the reports.
