Manage Tags

A tag is a type of task that often being completed, typically used to categorize different kinds of work.

There are four aspects of managing tags we will cover here:

  • Creating a new or edit an existing tag
  • Making changes to a tag
  • Archiving and restoring a tag
  • Tracking time for a tag
  • Viewing data for a tag

Creating a new or edit an existing tag

You can add new tags by pressing the add tag button. You can also make changes to existing tags by clicking their label.

Click the name to edit and add to create a new tag.

Making changes to a tag

After you have created a new tag, or selected an existing one, Busy will redirect you to the tags page. Here, you can make changes to the tag name.

Archiving and restoring a tag

Archive a tag by pressing the action button on the tag page and selecting «Archive.»

After archiving an «Archived» tag is visible. All archived tags will still be available in the reports, but unavailable for logging more time on them. To restore a tag, press the action button again and select «Restore.»

Tracking time for a tag

Log time for a tag on the by selecting your tag in the dropdown after creating an entry. See our guide for using the timeline.

Viewing data for a tag

After connecting your tag to an entry on the timeline, your data will be available in the reports. Here you can filter based on what tag you want to see, select a time interval and more. See our guide for using the reports.
